Opening: The Forbidden Fruit:

The fragrance opens with forbidden fruit, a round apple hookah flavour blending with warm cinnamon bark essence. Off the hop you get a sweet smouldering apple with smoke. The hookah aspect of this scent is spot on and very unique for Kilian to capture in a bottle. Smoking Hot swelters like apple sauce bubbling in the oven, clean-baked and piping with energy, but remaining smooth and unblackened. Perhaps the edges of the cinnamon pie crust have caught in the final minutes of roasting, but nothing close to burnt. It reminds me of the autumn scent at a family cottage, a garden filled with the tart-sweet fresh juicy fragrance of apples, complemented by the spicy aroma of withering leaves from the forest.

Heart: The Slow Burn:

In a slow burn, notes of fire-cured Kentucky tobacco absolute emerge, deeply authentic, non-offensive and perfectly balanced. It blends sweet, spicy and smoky elements beautifully. The tobacco leans neither heavy into the leaf nor ashy, a good non-offensive middle ground with subtle nuances of vanilla and licorice caramel that differentiate this from any simple apple hookah experience. A dry, slightly smoky warmth that is simultaneously nostalgic and completely modern, cozy and cloying-free, making it neutral in terms of gender wearability.

Base: The Caramelized Delight:

Bourbon vanilla, licorice, orcanox and clary sage settle into one of the most addictive drydowns By Kilian has ever produced.
