Lancesseur, the nose responsible for many wonderfully boozy masterpieces including Straight to Heaven and Single Malt, has created yet another quintessential masculine Kilian fragrance: boozy but classy, sober yet playful, elegant and mischievous at the same time like a James Bond in party mode.

Way better and longer lasting than the On the Rocks version. The best Kilian in many opinions. Hard to find since it was only sold in the NY store, but well worth every effort to experience.

Opening: The Oak Barrel Arrives

Apple Brandy begins with a blend of oakwood and aged cognac, unfolding with a fruity semi-gourmand theme of caramelized apple at its heart. The apple is not fresh or crisp, rather, through its companionship with ethyl maltol, it takes on a distinctly caramelized character. Oakwood plays a structural and balancing role, with its warm woody tonality, it provides a foundation for the cognac to display its warm, seductive and aristocratic aroma. Rum and plum add a boozy sweetness that is both immediately compelling and deeply sophisticated. This really smells like something you would love to drink.

Heart: The Smoky Depth

At its core lies a warm smoky heart of oak, real wood barrel accord and smoke, the most realistic oak barrel smell encountered in fragrance. The smoke is not harsh or aggressive, it is the gentle, seductive smoke of a fire that has been burning all evening, the kind that clings to expensive clothing and lingers in the memory long after the evening is over.
